Welcome to PAINT ITALY
Discover the REAL ITALY on a painting holiday in Piemonte

Come and join us in beautiful Italy for a relaxing week or long weekend painting and drawing in sunny undiscovered Piemonte, located between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Stay in our sympathetically converted Italian farmhouse with its colourful courtyard, terrace and garden, and experience the sunshine, stunning landscape and excellent traditional food and wine of Italy. The region is renowned for its wine growing, food and medieval heritage. The hills are bristling with castles, churches, sunflowers and vines. We are situated in a quiet hamlet of Cocconato a typical medieval hilltop town.

We pride ourselves on our hospitality and provide a relaxed and friendly family atmosphere with excellent home cooked food and locally produced wines. Your holiday will be fully organised including transfers from airports, accommodation, all meals, travel to painting locations and tuition.

Painting courses are run by me, Joy Moore. I am a professional artist, working here from my sunlit studio which was formerly a hayloft, and now provides stunning views across the countryside. All the courses are designed to accommodate all levels of ability. I am sure that there is something to interest you in the range we offer. Your main purpose will be to enjoy painting and drawing - guests always leave with something new that they have gained from their time here.

There are 3 different courses available:

Painting for all Abilities - 6 days,
Can’t Draw, Won’t draw - 4 days,
An Italian Sketch Book – 4 days

Please see Courses page for details.

We work mainly out on location but also in the studio which is fully equipped. All materials are provided for the 4 day courses. Stools easels and drawing boards are provided for all courses. Subjects include medieval villages, rich with beautiful architecture, farmhouse buildings full of texture and interest, vine clad hills, sunflowers, majestic mountains and rivers, markets brimming with colourful food and people and wonderful vistas of rolling hills.

“I have been on other painting holidays but this one is the best on all counts, your knowledge of the area and your skills in Italian add greatly to the overall experience. We have visited many interesting towns and villages that would not have been possible without your in depth knowledge of living in Italia!” Carolyn
